OOM : a trip to the spa with Sharon

The door opens and they step into a very luxurious penthouse flat with a breathtaking view over L.A.

There's a massive grand piano at one side of the living room and a wall lined with mirrors and bottles that would not look out of place at a bar.

The open plan also reveals a distinctly messy bed atop a dais and glimpses of what looks like Mesopotamian temple art adorning the walls.

(It is.)

Lucifer grabs his keys and pushes a button next to the door next to the bar wall.

There's a ding and the door slides open to reveal a massive elevator.

"Ladies first. I'll just call up the place and get us a spot."
Already fishing out his phone.

"Holy crap, this is your place?"

She ignores the elevator for a moment, staring around the penthouse. "Damn, Lucifer. I knew you had style, but this is pretty major."

He looks up her, looking a little surprised - and then pleased.

"It is nice, isn't it? I really like the view."

He nods at the elevator. "And the commute is lovely. LUX is downstairs. "

"Yeah, I mean, it's objectively gorgeous."

She wanders to the window and looks out over Los Angeles, a city she hasn't seen in years, then turns back to grin at him. "Can't get a much better commute than that."

"Exactly. And it's great for bringing company over. Or up as it were."

He grins.
Widely.

It's a large bed.
And a large couch.

"Uh-huh."

It sure is easy access. She shakes her head at him, trying to suppress her amusement. "So does this mean I'll get a look at LUX?"

"You will. We're getting ready to open in a couple of hours, so I'm afraid it'll be the slightly sad sight of a nightclub in daylights."

He doesn't mean that.
LUX is awesome.

"I'm really not sure I could handle LUX when it's open."

She heads towards him, where the elevator is waiting. "Why don't you show me around?"

He practically lights up at the suggestion.

"I'd love to. It's really ended up quite like I envisioned it when I bought the place."

Once inside, he pushes the button for the first floor.

"My car's in the garage, but this is the best way to experience LUX."

The soundless elevator stops smoothly and the door makes a whooshing sound as it opens.

They have an excellent view of the nightclub from the top if the stairs. They're clearly designed so you can show off as you descend.

There's a dance floor, a grand piano, several bars - and a tall, beautiful, menacing woman in en impossibly tight latex outfit adorned with chains headed towards them.

"I didn't know you had company," she says, her voice tight.

Lucifer smiles. "Itbwas very impromptu. Sharon, Maze, Maze, Sharon. I know her from -"

Maze raises a brow, keeping her eyes on Lucifer and ignoring Sharon.

"Not work. You know everyone I know from work." He snaps his fingers. "From the multidimensional portal in my closet."

Maze sighs, a long suffering sigh.

Then she turns her attention to Sharon.

"Pretty," she observes. "And - tough. I like that. Does Chloe know that you have company?"

She looks human. She isn't.

Sharon meets that glance with a steady one of her own. She's wildly curious about Maze, and she bets Bucky is, too, so she tries to absorb as much as possible. "This was pretty spontaneous, so probably not," she muses. "Why, is Chloe around?"

Look, she's not going to pass up the chance to stick her nose all the way into Lucifer's business.

"Maze thinks I should practice lying," he tells Sharon because there are no filters between his brain and his lips.

"And no, why should Detective Decker need to be informed of my visitors? We have a strictly professional relationship."

Maze snorts and rolls her eyes.
"Yeah. Whatever. If you get bored with him, come find me. I'll promise to show you a good tim-"

She gets cut off by Lucifer.
"Ah-ah, Sharon is in a committed relationship. And we respect the boundaries of the bumblebees in this house."

Maze stares at him.
Then she says, "That's it. You've lost it. Gone native, gone mad. I don't know. I don't care."

Then she turns on her heel and stalks away, revealing the two incredibly ornate and very deadly looking knives strapped to her back.

"Nice chat," Lucifer calls after her, apparently oblivious to the fact that she left because he'd passed her off.

"I love a lady with the confidence to wear latex in Los Angeles," she says, watching Maze go. Those knives look beautifully made; she wonders how they'd feel to wield.

Turning back to Lucifer, she smiles, crooked. "We can't possibly be the only bumblebees you know, right?"

"Baby powder," Lucifer says with confidence. "And she's a demon. That helps."

He walks down the stairs, casually waving to the staff that's busy getting the club ready.

"No. I mean, there's people at Milliways. And - I mean around here, people tend to forget about that around me. Not that I mind that you don't," he hurriedly adds.

(He does. A bit).

"Maybe one day we'll break up and you'll be able to shoot your shot," she says, encouragingly, as she follows along.

"How about, uh, Detective Decker? Is she still seeing that other guy?"

"I'll pencil you in," he says, grinning.

"Dan? Or Pierce?" He sounds like especially the latter name leaves a bad taste in his mouth.

Her eyebrows push up.

"There's a Pierce now?"

[wayward_sun]

"Some rock-star lieutenant of the L.A.P.D." Lucifer scoffs.

"I don't see what's so great about him. Sure he's handsome and talented and a natural leader - but does he recognize the brilliant strategies I came up with? To catch our biggest crime lord currently making the city safe and also infringing on my turf? No. No he did not."

A disdainful sniff.
"I don't get what she sees in him."

"Yeah, he sounds like a real drag."

She would love nothing more than to gossip with Maze for an hour or so to get the whole story here, but tragically that seems unlikely to happen. "But you were right. LUX is amazing."

"Thank you," Lucifer says. "I really wish you could talk some sense into Detective Decker. Anyways, we can go out that way. My car's parked outside."

He lifts his phone but is interrupted by one of the bartenders who approaches with a timid question about one of the specials.

New, by the nervous look of him, and obviously very, very into his boss.

Lucifer does have a different, slightly more animalistic magnetism here than in Milliways.

Sharon leans against the bar and looks around as the hapless minion makes heart-eyes at his boss. She hasn't been to many clubs, but LUX is definitely a step above the ones she's seen in the past. It's sleek and elegant; not her style, but definitely Lucifer's.

A small smile is tugging at her lips as she watches her friend and his underling. "You're sure in demand, bud."

Lucifer is being coy and flirtatious and when she makes her remark he looks at her over his shoulder and winks.

"I guess I am. And now I gotta run," said to the youngster, "we've got a massage appointment."

He waves Sharon over to the right door as he finally manages to make a call to actually book said appointment.

He does seem to have a special arrangement because the appointments are made in no time and hangs up just as they reach the red Corvette.

Their ride.

Sharon whistles, low, and comes up to run a light finger over the glossy red paint.

"Damn, Lucifer! Nice wheels."

"I know. I really like this car. It handles like a dream."

He opens the door for her - it appears to have been unlocked - and gets in himself.

"I hope you like going fast."
Je gives her a sly grin.

Yes, it's L.A. Yes, the afternoon traffic is heavy. But that hasn't stopped him before.

"I've been known to enjoy it on occasion," she grins back, slipping into the comfortable seat. His car smells richly of leather and his own expensive cologne.

She buckles up. It seems like a good idea.

Buckling up is a very good idea.

Lucifer drives the way you do when you have superhuman reflexes and are immortal.

Somehow it seems as if the rest of the traffic just rearranges itself around him.

They head for the even fancier part of town and stops in front white mansion-like building with a super discreet logo next to the door and a young man in navy pants a white shirt awaiting their arrival.

Lucifer gets out and throws him the keys.

This spa apparently have valet service.

"Ready? Oh, and start thinking about choice of beverage. They have everything."

It's the fanciest spa she's ever been to, but 'fancy' has wildly different definitions when going from the East Coast elite to Los Angeles glitz and glamour.

"Speaking of, I heard you found a drink you thought I might like."
