The door opens and they step into a very luxurious penthouse flat with a breathtaking view over L.A.

There's a massive grand piano at one side of the living room and a wall lined with mirrors and bottles that would not look out of place at a bar.

The open plan also reveals a distinctly messy bed atop a dais and glimpses of what looks like Mesopotamian temple art adorning the walls.

(It is.)

Lucifer grabs his keys and pushes a button next to the door next to the bar wall.

There's a ding and the door slides open to reveal a massive elevator.

"Ladies first. I'll just call up the place and get us a spot."
Already fishing out his phone.

It's a strange mix of painfully bright sun and hazy smog that greets them as they step through the door and onto a scalding pavement.

The neighbourhood seems a bit seedy, but nobody seems tempted to get too close to the sleek, red Corvette that's parked a couple of steps away.

"So, lunch, clothes shopping, dinner?" Lucifer asks brightly as he fishes out his car keys.

The room is large and filled with smooth surfaces and hidden lamps. And a few old (old as in ancient) pieces of artwork.

There's a bar, a piano, and a huge bed with Egyptian cotton sheets and lots of pillows.

An open door leads into a spacious bathroom.

"What can I get you?" Lucifer says as he heads for the bar.
It's a bar. A wall of bottles.

On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a kitchen.
Just like home.

An open door leads into a spacious bathroom.

All that's really lacking is the huge balcony and the L.A. skyline.

And the sound of Lux at ground level.

Lucifer shrugs off his jacket and heads for the bar.

"Make yourself at home," he calls over his shoulder.

Lamps are placed strategically and discreetly, to make the open plan room seem both dark and softly illuminated at the same time.

There's a bar, a piano, and a huge bed with Egyptian cotton sheets.
A low coffee table, a low couch and a couple of very comfortably looking chairs round out the furniture.

"I did promise a couch. But you might find the bed more to your liking," Lucifer says.

Somehow it managed to be both dark and week illuminated at the same time.

All that's really lacking is the huge balcony and the L.A. skyline.

The door from Milliways does indeed lead into Lucifer’s bedroom.
Having gotten a room at Milliways that he’d feel at home in, the scenery does not change much.
Glass, chrome, expensive sheets, expansive bed.
There’s a piano - and there’s a very nice (and very expensive) view of L.A. From the two, huge windows, spanning from floor to ceiling.

At the other end of the living space is a floor to ceiling bar, complete with counter and plenty of bottles, neatly lined up. And a door that looks like the door to an elevator.
Because that is what it is.

“Come on in,” Lucifer says, ushering him through.
“Drink?”

"The beach is nice in principle but also rather full of sand," he says, looking over at Ganymede.
"And the trees might obscure the stars."

Lucifer Morningstar is a charismatic, devil-may-care (heh) playboy with a narcissistic stripe so wide it's basically all he is. Almost.
He is invincible, immortal, and untouchable.
Or so he likes to pretend anyway. He is resentful for having been cast out of Heaven and he despises humans who blame their weaknesses on him instead of owning their own dark nature.
He is sarcastic, filterless, and convinced that everything is ultimately about him.

But he is also slowly changing, becoming more human in some ways, you might say.
He takes great delight in punishing evil doers, but making sure that the innocent walk free is beginning to hold interest as well.

He takes what he wants and sates every desire and he really think you ought to as well.

And in the Great City of Angels ( and Lies ) he is the most honest person you will come across, willingly telling everyone that he is indeed Lucifer Morningstar. The Devil.

It's just a shame that nobody believes him.

L.A. Method actors. Right?

He is a heavy drinker, an enthusiastic drug users, and an eager participant in any sexual act you can think of.
He is also lonely, but before he can admit to that, he will have to admit it to himself.

Hell. Snowballs. And so on and so forth.

He wears Prada, drives an expensive car, and is always impeccably dressed. He owns a nightclub, Lux, where he occasionally plays the piano and sings. He likes rock and hates hip hop.

He speaks in an upper class British accent and he smiles a lot. After all, he quit his job and follows his dream, right?
He cut of his wings and most people only ever see his (handsome) mask these days.

Oh, and he doesn't make deals. He does people favors and then they owe him in return. Fairs fair. He also has a trick. If he looks deeply into your eyes and asks you what you truly desire, you will want to tell him. At least if you're on Earth. In Milliways this will of course always be at the other mun's discretion.

The smog may cloud the sun in L.A. but at least it is not raining ash constantly.
